Shen Dao Kung Fu Instructor training
The Shen Dao system incorporates a Foundation module in the Chinese Health and Martial arts which enables students to later specialise if they so wish. Completion of this core syllabus also qualifies students as Level One Shen Dao Kung Fu Instructors.
Kung Fu simply means ‘hard work’ and Shen Dao means ‘The Way of the Spirit’ or “The Way of the Heart’. Shen Dao Kung Fu has its foundations in the Chinese Internal Martial Arts System AND Chinese Health and Medical Theory, providing practitioners with a complete and balanced training system.
Shen Dao follows the natural process of the 5 Elements and the Yijing (I Ching) and is based upon the Chinese Internal Martial Arts systems of Baguazhang, Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan), Xingyiquan and Feng Shou, each taught from both a health and martial perspective.
Students can go on to study any or each of these arts in greater depth, specialise in teaching Qigong, or train in Medical Qigong to become a Therapist.
Tai Chi Qigong Therapist Training
A medical qigong training programme leading to the Tai Chi Qigong Therapist Certificate. The programme focuses on health and regeneration, based on the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the experiential principles and practices of Qigong. Graduates work one-to-one and in small groups facilitating the healing of others, and begin their studies looking at how to support their owm health and well being.
Chinese Internal Martial Arts Seminars
Courses are offered in the Internal Arts of Taiji Quan (Tai Chi Chuan), Bagua Zhang, Xingyi Quan and Baji Quan, working from the UKTQF syllabus to give people greater insight into the arts allowing them to develop further their own practice. The syllabi that have been developed for the Chinese Health and Martial Arts programmes are for Internal Martial Arts practitioners who want to learn and develop the arts in their entirety.
Meditation Seminars
UKTQF Meditation seminars look at the health structure of the body internally and externally. The exercises practised train balance, centredness and body awareness, helping to calm the mind and develop the health and full utilisation of the body. This leads to an understanding of oneself. The exercises can then be applied to everyday living, helping bring balance, awareness and sensitivity to both the mind and the body, creating improved health and well being.
Summer Camps
Set in the Lake District National Park and in Wales our training camps each have a different focus but all provide people with a chance to leave everyday life behind to relax, learn and rejuvenate themselves whilst developing their skills in the Internal Health or Martial Arts.
Personal Security and Self Confidence Seminars
Important in all walks of life, awareness, self belief, confidence and the ability to protect oneself from a physical and health perspective. These seminars are relevant to work, social and domestic situations.
