Practising Generosity

Practising Generosity is a theme for retreats held in the Lake District by Raymond Towers, looking at the idea of abundance against a background of growing disillusionment in society and the world at large.

These retreats are based upon the traditional physical and philosophical teachings of ancient China. The retreats are practice-oriented, using the tools of Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, meditation and reflection to help foster a deep sense of well-being.

This retreat will be offering a more detailed look at Taoist Internal Alchemical Practices

No previous knowledge or experience is needed.

"Nothing what-so-ever is to be clung to as I or mine. To have heard this phrase is to have heard all the teachings, to have practiced this is to have practiced all the teachings, and to have understood this is to have understood all that needs to be understood".
                                              — The Buddha

Each of us in our own way can be part of the tradition of generosity and abundance. This way of mutual support for each other is a source of joy and connection, and an essential step in awakening. This is a creative process and we can expect that our understanding of generosity will deepen as we continue the practice.
