Eight Energies Tai Chi Qi Gong Form

Tai Chi Qi Gong are mind and body exercises that emphasize the function and application of energy known as 'Qi'. They utilize the body's energy to improve the practitioner's strength through working directly on the immune and central nervous system, thereby aiding in the cure of illness and disease. It literally works by clearing any blockages in the energetic system of the body, which are known in Chinese Medicine as the Meridians and Channels.

The theory behind the Meridians and Channels in Tai Chi Qigong is based upon Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture found in the classic book: 'The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine'. It is said in the classic that Meridians or Channels are the vessels for transportation of Blood and 'Qi' to our Limbs, Muscles, Ligaments, Tendons, the surface of the Skin and the Internal Organs

The reason Tai Chi and Qigong can improve the practitioner's health is that they clear and enhance the channels' function to better and efficiently transport the 'Qi'.

Today, there are thousands of Qigong techniques, and five major family styles of Tai Chi Chuan: Chen, Yang, Wu, Hao & Sun, Lee Style is also regularly practiced throughout the United Kingdom.

The practice of Tai Chi Chuan helps to calm the mind and develop the body, by focusing on the connected practice of a prescribed set of slow moving exercises. On a physical level learning clear principles of Tai Chi Chuan helps to develop body awareness improving balance, posture, strength, agility and rhythm. The practice of Tai Chi Chuan can therefore help people to move, stand, balance, walk, and run with greater confidence and fluidity through a greater understanding and sensitivity of the body.

The benefits of Tai Chi Qigong are far reaching and are now recognised by World Health Organisation. Tai Chi Qigong is especially beneficial in chronic illness and fatigue.
