Tai Chi Qi Gong For Hypertension

Recent studies from the World Health Organisation (WHO) show that cerebral, vascular and cardiovascular diseases have become the number one killer in the world today ? some 12.5 million a year, one quarter of the total number of the deaths in the world.

Hypertension is currently the principal cause of cardiovascular disease causing widespread illness and disability. Hypertension refers to a group of clinical symptoms with the rise of blood pressure, which have evident causalities with coronary heart diseases (CAD), renal insufficiency, cardiopathy (a disease of the heart) induced by hypertension with complications of cerebral apoplexy.

Scientific studies in China and the United States have shown that Tai Chi Qi Gong exercises can improve the heart function to an efficiency rate of 86.6%, this becoming more evident after longer practice.

The set of simple exercises taught in this workshop can be practiced safely by anyone, and can only prove to be an important addition to our health care and preventative systems.
